No...it can't be....NOOOOOOOOOO!!!

That was what the almighty Darth Vadar said towards the end of the movie when he finally don his grim, black suit. All my fear and respect for him since young died off the moment he raised his hands and the word "No" resonanted in the theatre...(Get a taste of it here!)

Had a great jam last night! Cal and i confessed that we were quite nervous when the photographer hanged around during the first few songs. I hope we won't get any anxiety attack on the actual day itself. Please come check us (Localbarboy) out at POW on 1st June, wed.

Ok. It's been a week and i have not yet done anything about the musical baton passed to me by Nat. Well, i will be honest here. Don't be disappointed by my selections.

Low Bat Crisis!

Caught "lunarin" again last Saturday. I do admit that I like their dark, celtic (as Shu pointed out that night) music a lot and hearing them live is kind of therapeutic for me. I feel there's some repressed anger and frustration that releases itself subtly with surges of energy rushes in to replace them. I love that. Or maybe, they just remind me of "Tool" which I've always listens to especially when I was in the states. I had the greatest time of life my there and its cool reminiscing it sometimes. Anyway, the gig was quite good, damaged by some technical problem, but salvaged by the lead singer, dressed in all black and looking mystifyingly great all the time, letting you in with a little smile once in a while.

Ran out of battery (both) the minute they started. I will remind myself to stop doing stupid things like this anymore. Well, here's an older picture I took at one of their gigs in Esplanade.

Now im inspired to be lawyer and a better man. Ha!

The real Love Machine

I guess many have a misconception about "The Love Machine". Most would think "The Love Machine" is full of love. Full of love for others. Take note of the word "Machine". A machine have no emotion. It is built for a purpose. That purpose is to manufacture love for others. Genuine love? If you take manufactured love as real love, then yes its genuine. It's full of it. A machine feels no love. It's void of all emotions. It's capable of producing love that you want and love that you need. I'm sure you like it. Sorry, i am wrong. The machine does have love. Love for itself. Self preservation. It doesn't care about anything exception for itself. It love itself too much to love others. It's incapable of love. You can be "loved" by The Love Machine but try loving it, and you'll discover that you will end up getting none back. Think Mr. Tinman from Alice in Wonderland. He gets a heart in the end. The real world is not Wonderland. So what does The Love Machine gets in the end? A pat, followed by "Stick around and keep spreading your love." Doesn't that beat getting a heart?

Isn't being " The Love Machine " great!!??

Tolerance to the sun is good!

I have greater tolerance to the sun! We went kayaking today for the usual one hour and comparing with the last time, i wasn't that burned! All thanks to proper application of sunblock to the essential area. However, my skin still feels hot by the end of the day. Cure? An old woman moisturizer, complimentary of my ex and endorsed by her grandma. As your parents always tell you, listen to your elders! I presume i will feel no pain tomorrow.

Nat did a transformation today. Smartest yet. Prettiest yet. All dressed up for a wedding. Exclusive World Premiere of "Nat in Long Sleeve Shirt"

This song got great lyrics. Do not attempt to listen if your chinese skill is limited to asking "Auntie, 多少钱?" (how much?).

Japanese! Japanese! Japanese! JLPT 2 Banzai!!!

Its already May!! I have 7 more months before the JLPT 2 Exam! Failing it last year was a major disappointment. The worst thing is i have taken too long a break! The other day (Monday) i met up with a japanese recruitment consultant who looked like Utade Hikaru (Dream lover...). I was so mesmerised by her eyes that when she tested my japanese, my mind just went blank! THAT WAS SO FREAKING EMBARASSING!!! The worst thing is i couldn't even understand what she was asking! She asked "why did i think of learning Japanese?" and i mistaken it for "Why did i think of working in Japan?"...My japanese really sucks...Mr. Donkey visited me that day and totally racked my self esteem. However, the Love Machine will not give in! He has sign up for the JLPT 2 prep course and have dedicated the rest of the year to mastering the language!

I'll leave you with an excellent MTV that motivates my desire to succeed!
